The MAPPS online Customer Self Service (CSS) portal provides the public online access to the County’s permitting and planning related information where public records can be searched or neighborhood activity can be explored with the system's map feature. CSS allows customers to apply for plan reviews, permits, specific business licenses, request inspections, pay invoices and to follow along with their application status. Google Chrome is the preferred browser to use with MAPPS. The latest versions of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are both supported by MAPPS. Other browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari are not supported.
Make sure you only put in the street number and street name when searching for the address. Do not include the suffix when searching for your address (i.e. exclude Drive, Parkway, Road, etc.). Also, make sure you click the magnifying glass to conduct the search.

Go to the "Applications" page on this support site. Find the permit, plan or business license you wish to apply for. Clicking on its link will provide you with the information you need to apply online via MAPPS.
Contact records are the way that MAPPS identifies individuals or a company and connects them to a MAPPS account with their email address. A contact can be connected to all types of permits, plans and business licenses, inspections and code cases.
Uploaded attachments are not immediately visible in MAPPS. If you received the green success banner which reads “Upload Successful!” then your upload was successful. review the “How to apply for a Permit or Plan Case” or the “How to apply for a Business License” MAPPSS CSS help guide. Go to the “Step 5: Attachments” section.
Registering for CSS creates your own personal MAPPS CSS dashboard. Any updates to your application, cases you are associated with, and invoices can be viewed on your CSS dashboard. Visit the “Customer Self Service portal” page and the “How Do I” page on this site for more information.
