UPDATE 10/20/22: Planned MAPPS System Maintenance on Sunday, October 23, 2022

On Sunday, October 23, 2022 MAPPS will be undergoing System Maintenance from 12 PM - 3 PM. The system will be unavailable. Please do not attempt to log in to MAPPS or submit any MAPPS applications during this time.

Planned MAPPS Software Upgrade on Saturday, October 8, 2022

On Saturday October 8, 2022, the County of Maui's Automated Planning and Permitting system (MAPPS) will undergo a software upgrade and will be unavailable all Saturday.  The system will be available again on Sunday, October 9, 2022. The software upgrade will not affect Customer Self Service (CSS) accounts or CSS functionality.

While there are no changes to the MAPPS CSS functionality in the upgraded version, our testing has uncovered an issue requiring a workaround to be aware of.  Please review and follow the workaround detailed below:

No Special Character use for file names in CSS
Special characters that are allowed in file names, such as an apostrophe, ʻokina, or even a dash can cause file upload issues in the MAPPS CSS. Please avoid the use of special characters in file names for files that are uploaded to the MAPPS CSS. Any letters from the Latin alphabet (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z) and numerical digits 0-9 can be used. Upper- and lower-case letters can be used. An example of a file name that has caused file upload issues is “Pūlama Lānaʻi”.
