Many types of miscellaneous document submittals or information requests are submitted to the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) for review and comment by the Department and its divisions. This MAPPS Plan Process will allow you to track its status.
How To Apply
Go to the Maui County MAPPS Customer Portal to make your plan submittal by choosing the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) Review process. Include any necessary cover letters, documents, plans etc. as attachments. Your cover letter should include why you are submitting your application and what your goal is.
The Department of Environmental Management will review your request and route to the appropriate staff.
Document and Plan Review can take several weeks depending on the complexity of the request and quality of the provided information.
Duration of Approval
Information provided in DEM’s response will note any deadlines or expiration dates.
There are not any upfront application fees for these types of plan and document reviews.
Set of Plans Required
Items required for a complete review include your cover letter and any necessary or appropriate attachments. If additional information is required, you will be contacted through the MAPPS web portal or by phone or email.
