An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is a written evaluation prepared to provide information and a determination to the public and decision makers as to whether proposed actions may have a significant environmental effect when they are subject to the HRS Chapter 343 Environmental Impact Statements law.
Depending upon the circumstances, the Planning Department or the respective Planning Commission will be the Accepting Authority for the environmental document.
Duration of Acceptance
No expiration, however an accepted document may need to be supplemented or replaced if circumstances surrounding the proposed action for which the environmental document was prepared change so as to later likely lead to different or increased environmental impacts not previously dealt with.
All permit fees shall be assessed as set forth in the annual budget ordinance. Applicant will be notified when payment is due.
