FD Flammable/Combustible Liquid Fuel Tank

Overview

A Flammable Combustible Liquid Fuel Tank Permit is required to install, use, operate, repair or modify a fuel tank, pipeline, or other use for the transportation and/or storage of flammable or combustible liquids.  See Maui County Code 16.04C.150 Subsection 1.12.8 for a detailed list of where this permit is required.

How to Apply

Apply online at the MAPPS Customer Self Service portal.

Approving Agency

The Maui Fire Prevention Bureau is authorized to approve these permits.

Processing Time

All permits are reviewed according to the chronological order in which they are received by our office.

Duration of Approval

Dependent on plan review and inspection results.

Fees

The permit fee is $100 for tanks between 61 and 4,999 gallons and $200 for tanks 5,000 gallons and up.  Fees can be paid on the MAPPS Customer Self Service website or at the Prevention Bureau by cash, check, or money order to the County of Maui.
